Cable tensiometer HF 36/2/LPT/AUT
Field of application
These tensiometer models have been specifically designed to measure forces on tensioned cables without having to install an in-line dynamometer and without having to dismantle the installation to take the measurement.
Examples:
- Telecommunications antenna guy wires
- High-voltage lines
- Suspended walkways, bridges or marquees
Operating principle
Tensile force measurement using strain gauges. The cable deflection applied by the tensiometer produces a tangential force proportional to the force applied to the tension cable. The deformation produced by this force is measured by a Wheatstone bridge of gauges integrated into the sensor.
Options
Specific calibration: The standard database includes a range of cables and contact wires identified by a “calibration reference”. Each number refers to a calibration performed on the corresponding cable. The database can be expanded with specific cables or ropes; one sample per cable will be required and the calibration results will be added to the database.
PC software: Our devices are supplied as standard with a data management software called LOADER Light. This software allows you to view the records saved in the display unit’s memory. Other data management software is also available:
- Loader tech: to add a remote calibration
- Loader full: to add a remote calibration and manage records
- Monitor: for real-time data acquisition
