Cable tension meter HF 36/LPT/HYD
Field of application
This tensiometer model has been specifically designed to measure tension on taut cables without the need to place an in-line dynamometer or dismantle the installation to take measurements.
Examples:
- Telecommunication antenna guy wires
- High-voltage lines
- Suspension walkways, bridges, or marquees
Operating principle
Traction force measurement via strain gauges. The cable deflection exerted by the tension meter produces a tangential force proportional to the force exerted on the traction cable. The deformation produced by this force is measured by a strain gauge bridge integrated into the sensor. The signal generated by the strain gauges is then conditioned by the associated electronics and displayed on the LCD screen of the associated display unit.
Options
Radio transmission: no longer requires a cord between the device and the display unit.
Standalone: no remote display; the display is integrated directly into the device.
Specific calibration: The standard database includes a series of cables and contact wires identified by a “calibration reference.” Each number refers to a calibration performed on the corresponding cable. The database can be expanded with specific cables or ropes; one sample per cable will be required, and the calibration results will be added to the database.
PC Software: Our devices are supplied as standard with data management software called LOADER Light. This software allows for viewing and retrieving records saved in the display unit’s memory. Other data management software is also available:
- Loader tech: to add a remote calibration
- Loader full: to add a remote calibration and manage records
- Monitor: for real-time data acquisition
